Obituary Information

Born on Christmas Day 1982 to the late LaVoy Jones and Bobette Watts-Hitchcock (formerly Jones) in Baltimore, Maryland. He passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 following a tragic automobile accident in Baltimore, at the age of 42.

Austin attended Grace & St. Peter's School, Lida Lee Tall School, The Cathedral School, The Park School, and graduated from Forest Park High School in 2000. He retained close friendships from each school. He also briefly attended Howard University.

Austin worked at several companies, developing strong communication skills, and gaining expertise in warehouse operations and cable functions. He was well-liked and respected for giving his best in every position he held. His experience led him to his final position as Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Beynon Sports Surface, Inc., where he was loved and admired for his knowledge and reliability.

Austin Shared a special bond with his grandparents, the late Robert and Jacquelyn Watts. He enjoyed the annual Watts Family Reunion. His bond with his cousins was a lifelong friendship that earned them the title of "The Three Amigos."

Over the years Austin fathered six children, and embraced fatherhood with unwavering devotion. Everyone who knew Austin and saw him interacting with his children knew that they were his priority. He was there to support them at every milestone and could be heard loudly yelling out "A-Squad" at all the graduations, and music and dance recitals.
